Amazon has been selling the Kindle e-book reader since 2007. The Kindle Fire series of tablets, which was released in 2011, was equipped with an IPS LCD and supported color display from the beginning, but the Kindle has remained in monochrome display for a long time, and has strived to improve the operating time, speed up the operation, adjust the contrast, and increase the screen size.

And in 2024, the Kindle Colorsoft will finally be released, featuring a color-capable Colorsoft display.

The dimensions of the device are 127.6mm x 176.7mm x 7.8mm, it weighs 219g, it has 32GB of storage, and it is waterproof.

The 7-inch screen is designed specifically for reading, with less glare than traditional backlit screens, sharper contrast and faster page turning.

The brightness automatically adjusts to make it easy to read whether you're using it during the day or at night.

It can be used for up to 8 weeks on a single charge via USB Type-C, and also supports wireless charging if used with a separately sold dock.

Amazon Kindle Colorsoft will start shipping on October 30, 2024, priced at $279.99 (about 42,000 yen). Please note that shipping to Japan is not supported.
