◆Private Space
One of the major changes in Android 15 is the addition of the Private Space feature, which Google describes as a 'digital safe for your smartphone.' This feature makes it possible to hide sensitive apps such as banking apps, dating apps, and social apps from other users. In addition, apps designated as private spaces will not appear in app usage history, notifications, settings, etc.

Please note that only new apps installed with a different account can be placed in the private space; existing apps cannot be added to the private space. When you create a private space, you will be asked to sign in with a Google account other than your main account, and only apps installed with that account can be placed in the private space. Data, etc. cannot be transferred in this case. You can also hide the existence of the private space from the device.

◆Theft detection lock
The 'Theft Detection Lock' is a function that automatically locks your smartphone if it detects that someone has stolen it and run away. In October 2024,

a remote lock was added that allows you to quickly lock your smartphone from the dedicated URL 'android.com/lock', but the new theft detection lock further strengthens the response to snatching and theft.

Additionally, Android 15 also includes enhanced security features to prevent thieves from guessing passwords and accessing sensitive information. Specifically, authentication requirements have been added for things a thief might do, such as removing the SIM or disabling the Find My Device feature, and measures have been included such as locking down the device if multiple failed attempts are detected.

◆Improvements for foldable devices
On foldable devices and tablets, you can now easily pin and unpin a taskbar with your most used apps.

You can also pair apps that you use frequently together and launch them simultaneously from a single icon.

In addition, Android 15 now features low light boost in the camera app to work better in dark places, messaging apps can now use satellite connections to send and receive messages even without a mobile or Wi-Fi connection, and apps that use authentication passkeys can now log in with just one tap.

In addition, as part of the October 2024 Pixel update, Google will be improving 'Audio Magic Eraser,' which reduces noise in videos such as wind noise, and improving 'Night Sight,' which takes clearer photos even in dark places, so that it can be used directly from Instagram.
