Black Forest Labs, an AI company created by the original developers of Stable Diffusion, has released the image generation AI FLUX1.1 [pro] and the BFL API for application integration.

'FLUX1.1 [pro]', released by Black Forest Labs on October 2, 2024, is 6 times faster in generation speed than the previous model FLUX.1 [pro], and is characterized by improved image quality, compliance with prompts, and diversity of generated images. Below are some examples of images created with FLUX1.1 [pro]. These images were generated on the Replicate demo page.
The prompt 'black forest gateau cake spelling out the words 'FLUX 1.1 Pro', tasty, food photography' that is pre-populated on the demo page can generate an image like this.
When I entered the prompt 'surprised child, colorful playground, anime style', I was able to generate a high-quality anime-style image.
The image generated by the prompt 'Close-up view of a tin toy. The background is a cyberpunk world. The word 'GIGAZINE' is written in an electrified font on the forefront of the image.' An image containing the specified string was generated.
According to Black Forest Labs, FLUX1.1 [pro] was introduced to the Text to Image Arena under the code name 'blueberry' and was tested. The graph below compares the ELO scores of FLUX1.1 [pro] and other image generation AI models. FLUX1.1 [pro] recorded a higher score than the previous generation FLUX.1 [pro] and rivals Ideogram V2 and MidJourney V6.
Below is a table comparing the ELO score and the cost required for image generation for each image generation AI. FLUX1.1 [pro] can leave a high ELO score, but it also shows that it has relatively good cost performance.
