Curry, 88, opened a YouTube channel in 2015 and began posting Skyrim gameplay videos . By 2021, Curry's YouTube channel had gained over 1 million subscribers, and at the time of writing, the number of subscribers was over 1.3 million. Although he suffered a stroke in 2021, he quickly returned to making gameplay videos. Since then, he has continued to post Skyrim gameplay videos.

On September 23rd, Curry posted a video titled 'I'm quitting gaming videos,' announcing that he would be stopping uploading gaming videos.

Vlog#41: No More Gaming Videos - YouTube

In the video, Curry says, 'Apparently, I spend most of my time here sitting in front of my computer. And recently, maybe the last month, I've had a string of days where I come in here, look at my computer, and I'm like, 'I have to make a video today.' And I shake my head at myself and I'm like, 'I don't want to, I don't feel like it,' and I turn around and walk away.'

He added, 'I only do it for fun, but it's not fun anymore. I'm sick of it and bored to death. So, I'm making a decision right now. I'm not going to make or upload any more gaming videos,' revealing that he will stop posting gaming videos.

Although Curry said, 'I'm old and tired and I don't have the energy to do anything anymore,' he said, 'I'm going to post vlogs from time to time,' and it seems that he has no intention of ending his YouTube channel itself. In addition, Curry plans to talk about his current situation, the books he is reading, and even books he might write in his vlogs. He also said that he will use the time he can get by stopping game video production to 'start making quilts, which I've always wanted to make.'

In addition, Curry had reduced the frequency of video posting in 2020 due to dissatisfaction with critical comments against him and to pay attention to his health, so game media GameSpot reports that 'this decision is not that surprising.'
