According to the overseas media Independent, SpaceX plans to launch up to 42,000 satellites in the future to complete the Starlink constellation that can provide high-speed Internet and telephone connections to every corner of the Earth, and the proportion of Starlink satellites in all satellites is expected to continue to increase.

On September 6, 2024, 21 Starlink satellites were launched on a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida. This launch marked the 7,000th Starlink satellite to be launched.
