◆Full color comic 'Gas Shop!!' Contents Introduction
The cover looks like this when opened in the Kindle app. The Kindle version of Gasuya Desu!! has 180 pages of the main story with 12 chapters, and 72 pages of bonus comics bonus material, for a total of 252 pages.

By opening the table of contents you can jump to each episode or bonus content.

As a special bonus for the comics, it includes 'Korogasu!', the work that inspired 'We're the Gas Shop!!'

'Korogas!' is a manga that was originally created by the author, Mainichi Nichimochi, and is set in the gas shop where Mitsuki, a character from 'Gasya desu!!', works. It is a special supplement to the book, so I hope you will read it while keeping in mind the connections to the main story.

In addition, the author's drawings, such as sketches he drew by hand and various setting drawings, are all posted. Some of the illustrations are not publicly available on GIGAZINE, so please check them out here.

The paperback version looks like this
'Gas Shop Desu!!' is being released in both paperback and e-book format. Click on 'Paperback' on the right side of the product page.

If it says 'Paperback' to the right of the title, it's OK.

The actual paper book version looks like this. The following is a sample version, so there is a band on the cover that says 'No reprints allowed.' The book size is A5 size, 148mm x 210mm.

Of course, the main story of the paperback version is in full color. Unlike e-books, due to the way the paper is bound, there needs to be a certain amount of space on all sides, but some scenes are designed to fill the entire page, so one of the features of the paperback version is that important scenes can be read more clearly.

The price of the paperback edition automatically increases with the number of pages, so the bonus illustration collection included in the e-book version is not included. However, the original work 'Korogas!' can be enjoyed in the paperback edition. It is a luxurious comic with a total of 198 pages, so if you are interested, please check it out.

◆ Comic book cover illustration making
Two rough drafts were created for the cover of the comic. According to the author, Mainichi Nichimochi, the first draft is 'a layout that incorporates the main characters, makes the gas cylinder visible, and brings together the gas shop, the customers, and the townscape in the background, all with the idea that it's a story about a local gas shop.'

Below is proposal 2. Proposal 1, which has many elements, is good, but proposal 2, which features the characters, title, and Kiyu's work clothes, was chosen because it was felt that it would be easier to draw attention. Mainichi: 'The title tells us that it's a manga about a gas company, and the layout focuses entirely on the company and its members. By drawing each person large, it should be easy to convey what kind of person Kiyu is. Also, since the beginning of the first chapter starts in the company office, I thought it would be nice to have the exterior on the cover, which would serve as a sort of zeroth frame of the first chapter.'

The second design was chosen and features newly drawn characters only.

The background is as shown below, depicting the gas shop 'Hoshimi Seikatsu Setsubi' where the story takes place, from Aori's perspective.

The completed cover.

The full-color comic 'Gas Shop Desu!!' is available exclusively on Amazon Kindle. Kindle Unlimited members can download it for free at any time.
