'White Black Thunder,' a Hokkaido-only souvenir, has collaborated with Hokkaido confectionery studio

Morimoto to create ' White Black Thunder Dorayaki ,' which will be available at some souvenir shops in the Hokkaido area from Friday, July 26, 2024. The editorial department received a new souvenir sweet that combines the crunchy texture of Black Thunder with the 'new crunchy texture' of the chewy baked dorayaki skin, so we tried it right away.

This is 'White Black Thunder Dorayaki'.

The raw materials are sugar, wheat flour, semi-chocolate, eggs, and processed biscuits.

Each piece contains 190kcal.

When I opened the box, there were four individually wrapped dorayaki inside.

When you put the dorayaki inside on a plate it looks like this.

The size was approximately 7.5 cm in diameter.

When you cut it and look at the cross section, you can see that the dorayaki shell is sandwiched between white chocolate cream and chocolate filling with biscuits.

When you take a bite, you can feel the chewy texture of the dorayaki skin alternating with the crunchy texture of the biscuit. The dorayaki skin has an elegant and luxurious flavor like castella, but the inside is a chocolate with a candy-like taste reminiscent of the 'regular Black Thunder,' and the contrast is truly a new sensation. Therefore, I felt that this is a new type of dorayaki that would be well received as a souvenir from Hokkaido to give to your workplace or family.

The 'White Black Thunder Dorayaki' will be available for purchase at some souvenir shops in the Hokkaido area from Friday, July 26, 2024 (New Chitose Airport: ANAFESTA Chitose Lobby Store, JAL PLAZA Departure Lobby Store, Hokkaido Honpo, Sky Shop Ogasawara, Snow Shop Domestic Departure Store, TRICOT by yamasan fujiya, etc.), and the suggested retail price is 1,080 yen including tax.
