Akagi Nyugyo's 'Gari Gari-kun' series will be adding ' Gari Gari-kun Rich Chocolate Mint ' from Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Compared to the previous chocolate mint flavor, the milk content has been increased and Gari Gari-kun has been upgraded from lacto ice cream to ice milk, allowing you to enjoy the flavor of milk, the texture of chocolate chips, and the refreshing feeling of mint. I actually bought and tried the new Gari Gari-kun, which has a stick with a haiku poem related to chocolate mint written on it and is playful.

This is 'Gari Gari-kun Rich Chocolate Mint'. Since I had the chance, I tried to collect three different packages.
The ingredients are dairy products, semi-chocolate, apple juice, mint extract, etc. In addition, it also contains liqueur, so when I asked about it, I was told, 'The total alcohol content is less than 0.1%, so there is no immediate health risk even if you give it to children, but some people are sensitive to alcohol, so please be careful.'
The calorie content is 137kcal per 100ml bottle.

The ice cream is approximately 8.5cm long.
Here's what it looks like in cross section. The outer mint ice cream is wrapped around chocolate mint shaved ice with chocolate chips. When you eat it, the refreshing coolness of the mint passes from your mouth to your nose, followed by the rich flavor of the melted ice milk and the sweetness of the chocolate spreading across your tongue. The mint ice cream has a crunchy texture rather than a crunchy one. Thanks to the richness of the milk, this popsicle has a slightly different feel to the usual Garigari-kun.
Unfortunately, the sticks left over after eating were blank. According to the official website, there are six original sticks with haiku poems written on them, but they are rare sticks that are random and limited in quantity.
'Gari Gari-kun Rich Chocolate Mint' will be available at retail stores nationwide from Tuesday, May 7, 2024, and will cost 173 yen including tax.
