Later, Ross Young, an industry consultant with more than 25 years of experience in the display industry, also reported that Apple is developing a foldable MacBook/iPad hybrid device with a 20-inch display to be released in 2026 or 2027.

Additionally, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also reported that Apple is considering a dual-display foldable hybrid device.

Following this, Jeff Poo, an analyst at Haitong International Securities Group, a major Chinese securities firm, reported in a report prepared for investors that 'Apple's development of foldable devices is accelerating. ' Poo pointed out that, based on information obtained from Apple's supply chain, 'the awareness of the foldable devices that Apple is developing is increasing.'

Poo predicts that the foldable device that Apple will develop will be 'a new product lineup for Apple' targeting the 'ultra-luxury market.' One of the foldable devices that Apple is planning is a hybrid device of MacBook and iPad, which has been rumored for some time. Kuo predicted that this device will be released 'around 2027,' but the information obtained by Poo predicts that it will be released 'around the second half of 2025.'

Another foldable device being developed by Apple is the iPhone, with two display sizes of 7.9 inches and 8.3 inches being considered. Mass production of the foldable iPhone is expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
