'Atlanta Magnet Man' is a good-hearted man who drives around town in a metal-collecting machine he developed to collect nails and screws that puncture tires.

Sharp debris such as nails and screws on the road is extremely dangerous as it can lead to injuries and accidents. A man who cleans up metal trash on roads using a ``dolly equipped with magnets'' has become a hot topic.

Alex Benicho, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, calls himself ``Atlanta Magnet Man'' and works hard to clean the streets. Mr. Benicho uses the following independently developed metal recovery device for cleaning. Four strong magnets are attached to a cart with tires.

Mr. Benicho collects metal trash from the road by pulling a metal collection device with his bicycle.

Mr. Benicho said that he had an accident in which a ``nail stuck in a motorcycle tire'' at the beginning of the new coronavirus pandemic. Benicho decided to collect metal from the roads, believing that ``Once the pandemic subsides and traffic returns to normal, even more drivers will be affected by garbage.'' In June 2023, we began collection activities using metal recovery equipment.

Mr. Benicho is active almost every day, driving about 16 miles (about 25.7 km) a day and collecting about 6 pounds (2.7 kg). In the movie below, you can see how the metal recovery device collects metal on the road.

Mr. Benicho is working on developing a new collection device to collect garbage such as glass that does not stick to magnets, and is soliciting funds for the development of the new device at the link below.
