Xbox chief Phil Spencer says ``Microsoft will continue to make game consoles''

Microsoft is rumored to be planning to roll out previously Xbox exclusive titles to other platforms as well.
According to game industry newsletter publisher Shannon Liao, in response to this topic, Spencer held an all-hands internal meeting and stated, ``Microsoft has no plans to stop developing game consoles.'' He said that Xbox will continue to be part of Microsoft's multi-terminal strategy.
There has been no official comment from Xbox regarding this matter.
In addition, Microsoft will dismiss 1,900 employees in the game department, including Xbox and the game maker Activision Blizzard, which was acquired in October 2023, in January 2024.
