Following Mini 4WD's 'Rules-free JCJC Time Attack', 'Rules-free Plarail Time Attack' is now available.

Following the ' Rules-free JCJC Time Attack ' that has been held on Nico Nico Douga since the summer of 2022, the ' Rules-free Plarail Time Attack ' has been proposed.

'Rules-Free JCJC Time Attack' is a mini 4WD time attack competition held at the Japan Cup Junior Circuit (JCJC). Although it is called a competition, it is not an official competition, but rather a game played by volunteers.

Tamiya has established Mini 4WD official competition rules for official races, but as the name suggests, this time attack is ``ruleless'' and only the time measurement points are determined.

It originated from a video posted on July 31, 2022 by Mr. Kikaku wa Tenaenai. However, on this first attempt, he struggled to change lanes and was unable to make any time.

Azpaca then entered the race and recorded a time of 3.56 seconds.

The highest record as of January 2024 is 1.69 seconds, set by Mr. Kounotori on September 9, 2023.

The rule-free JCJC Time Attack has become a major competition with more than 30 participants, and in 2023 it will become a Niconico Super Conference event.

There are no set qualifications for participation, but the basic premise is to be able to set a good time at JCJC, so obtaining and installing a JCJC is a rather high hurdle.

Therefore, Mr. Masato Institute came up with the idea of ``Rules-Free Plarail Time Attack''. Unlike JCJC, Plarail does not have an 'official course', so it is stipulated to use an oval course using 8 R-03 curved rails and 6 R-01 straight rails, but other than that, the 'rules' 'Useless'.

Although it does not have an element like JCJC's lane change, the height of the side wall of Plarail's rail is approximately 3 mm, so the risk of derailment increases when running at high speed, so the key is how to run at high speed without derailing.

Mr. Masato Institute has a record of 3.45 seconds.
