Aliens may be using black holes as 'quantum computers'

A black hole is a celestial body so dense and massive that not even light can escape, created when a giant star cannot withstand its own gravity and collapses. Regarding such black holes, physicists Zia Dovari and Zara Osmanov suggest that ``Aliens with advanced technology may use black holes as hardware for quantum computers .''

SETI Research Say Aliens Could Use Black Holes as Quantum Computers

Black holes, from which even light cannot escape, are said to have a unique boundary called the ' event horizon .' There, the black hole is thought to emit light and heat called `` Hawking radiation '', causing a phenomenon in which the mass of the black hole gradually evaporates.

Physicists have long debated whether the light and heat emitted by Hawking radiation contains information about the matter and light captured by black holes. Some physicists have proposed the idea that this light and heat is ``like the ash left after burning paper; it certainly contains information, but it is impossible to extract that information.'' doing.

On the other hand, some physicists argue that it is possible to extract information about the light and heat emitted by Hawking radiation. In addition, ``The properties of Hawking radiation emitted by a black hole are greatly related to the properties of the matter and light it takes in. In other words, a black hole performs complex calculations on all falling matter and calculates the results. It may be output as Hawking radiation.''

In addition, Dvari and Osmanov suggest, ``Aliens with advanced technology may be using black holes as the basis for quantum computers.'' They also said, ``We may be able to find the light from the high-power particle accelerator used by advanced alien civilizations to create black holes.''

Unlike general computers, which encode information in binary numbers such as '1' and '0,' quantum computers use units called

qubits to encode information as '1,' '0,' or 'both.' It is said that by storing , it is possible to store much more data than a regular computer and also be able to perform more complex calculations.

However, while research on quantum computers is still being conducted toward practical application, there are currently only a limited number of cases in which quantum computers are actually used to perform calculations.

'Our solar system is relatively new, forming about 4.6 billion years ago, and highly evolved aliens living in older star systems are already using more advanced quantum technology than Earth,' Dvari and Osmanov said. It is reasonable to think that they do.''

According to both researchers, black holes will become quantum computers that are even faster than quantum computers made of ordinary matter. The reason is that all the matter inside the black hole is crushed at a place called the '

singularity ' until the gravity becomes infinite. Black holes are thought to be so dense that it takes almost no time for light and information about qubits to travel from one side of the black hole to the other.

And an alien with advanced quantum technology injects a substance whose quantum state has been manipulated into a black hole, which acts as a quantum computer. Mr. Dovali and his colleagues claim that they receive the Hawking radiation as a calculation result. On the other hand, ``The software and programs used by such aliens are unknown, but the sophistication of their programming ability and algorithms may be far beyond human imagination.''

In addition, Dvari et al. mention the possibility that aliens with advanced civilizations are creating small black holes with low mass to perform calculations. According to Quantum, small black holes, unlike giant black holes, emit more Hawking radiation. Therefore, it has been suggested that it may be possible to observe the energy emitted by these black holes.

So, Dovali and colleagues say, ``By using particle detectors like IceCube , we may be able to find information about Hawking radiation and discover signs of the existence of aliens.''
