Snapchat is a social network where users can send photos, videos and texts to each other. My AI introduced in Snapchat can be said to be a Snapchat version of ChatGPT that has the function of outputting ideas and short stories by interacting with users. However, unlike ChatGPT, My AI is designed to avoid ``biased, inaccurate, harmful, or misleading information''.

A week after My AI rolled out to free members, the average Snapchat review on the App Store was 1.67 stars, and 75% of reviews were 1-star, according to data from app intelligence firm Sensor Tower. He said. On the other hand, pre-launch average reviews were 3.05 stars and only 35% of reviews were 1 star. Sensor Tower also points out that the number of reviews posted per day increased fivefold in the first week after its introduction.

Another app information company, Apptopia, reports similar trends. According to the company's analysis, 'AI' was the top keyword in Snapchat's App Store reviews over the past seven days, being mentioned 2,973 times. Apptopia also said that the day after My AI was released to free members, about three times more 1-star reviews than usual were posted. On the other hand, it seems that the number of 5-star reviews with the highest rating has also increased, but it seems that there are many opinions criticizing AI among the 5-star reviews.

Tech media TechCrunch points out that My AI is pinned to the top of chat feeds within the app and cannot be unpinned, blocked or deleted like other conversations. It is thought that it was unpopular with users. This feed is where Snapchatters regularly interact with their friends, and experimental features may have frustrated users taking up space.

It is also said that it is necessary to become a paid member to exclude My AI from the feed, which is also a factor of dissatisfaction. Users who criticize My AI post their opinions that AI bots should only be opted-in or given the option to be deleted, rather than being forced to use them.

In addition to these opinions, it has also been pointed out that users think AI is 'creepy'. For example, it is said that My AI gave a bad impression to the user when responding using the user's location information or responding based on the birthday. In addition, it is reported that inappropriate responses were made, such as teaching how to hide the smell of illegal drugs and how to create the mood when having sex for the first time.

Snapchat declined to comment specifically on the situation, saying only, 'If you don't like AI features, you don't need to use them.'
