The web was invented in France, not Switzerland

The birth of the web was a momentous event in the history of technology, and wanting to clarify for posterity where it originated, Mr. Galbraith contacted Mr. Berners-Lee and decided to create the web in 1989. I asked him where he was when he was developing it. Then, Mr. Berners-Lee replied that he was in Building 31 of CERN.
CERN straddles the Swiss and French borders, with some buildings in Switzerland and others in France, but Hall 31 is on the French side.
But whether the web originated in Switzerland or France is a tricky question. There are no clear borders within CERN's premises, and the entrance to Building 31 is in Switzerland. Also, when I was planning the web, Mr. Berners-Lee's home was in France, but when the web was being developed, I lived in a rental house in Switzerland.
Based on these points, Mr. Galbraith concluded, ``The birth of the web happened in Building 31 of CERN, not in a specific country, but technically it is France.''
In addition, Mr. Berners-Lee even remembered the room where he developed the web. So when Mr. Galbraith visited the room, he said that the room was used by an engineer from Poland. Engineers who did not know that the web was developed were very pleased to hear that.
I don't know if the interaction with Mr. Galbraith triggered it, but Mr. Berners-Lee said in an interview with the French media, 'Looking at the map, Hall 31 is in France, so it's true that the web was born in France. I can say that,' he replies.
