NVIDIA has announced the GeForce RTX 40 series, the next-generation GPU that uses the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture. The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture is a GPU manufactured on TSMC 's 4N process node, a Taiwanese semiconductor contract manufacturer, with 76 billion transistors and up to 18,000 or more CUDA cores. Up to 70% more CUDA cores than the previous NVIDIA Ampere architecture generation. In addition, the new streaming multiprocessor provides up to 2x performance and power efficiency, 4th generation Tensor Cores with up to 1.4Tensor PFLOPS up to 2x AI performance, and 3rd generation RT Cores with up to 200RT TFLOPS up to 2x Realize ray tracing performance.
Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology has evolved to DLSS 3 with 4th generation Tensor Cores and Optical Flow Accelerators, enabling DLSS 3 to generate additional high-quality frames without compromising image quality or responsiveness. AI will generate it for you. Enabling DLSS 3 can improve performance by up to 4x compared to disabling it.
