An animated work of the manga 'Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN' drawn by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who was in charge of character design for the TV anime 'Mobile Suit Gundam', after reviewing his own interpretation and settings. The 6-episode work that was made into an OVA and screened at a theater event from April 2015 to May 2018 has been reconstructed into a 13-episode TV series.

The general director is Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who is also the original author of the manga. The script is Katsuyuki Sumisawa, who worked on 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing' and 'Inuyasha'.

When the girl Natsu wakes up, the area is the sea. Suddenly thrown into the raging sea, she arrives at the island with Arashi, Semimaru, and Peony. Undeveloped jungle spreads on the island, attacked by huge plants, ferocious animals and insects one after another, and thrown into a survival life next to death.
Meanwhile, a person who claims to be a guide tells us about an unbelievable plan. It was the story of the grand plan '7SEEDS Plan' to freeze young and healthy human beings and leave the seeds of human beings in the world after the disaster has passed in order to avoid the extinction of human beings. For the first time, they were shocked to find out that they were the people chosen for the plan.
The young people selected for the '7 SEEDS Plan' live hard in a world that has changed, even though they are exposed to the harsh environment.

Based on a separate shojo manga, a manga by Yumi Tamura that was later transferred to Monthly Flowers and serialized from 2001 to 2017. In Yumi Tamura's work, 'BASARA' (serialized in a separate shojo manga from 1990 to 1998) has been animated under the title of 'LEGEND OF BASARA'. According to anime critic Ryota Fujitsu, 'LEGEND OF BASARA' was the first anime broadcast in the midnight frame of an independent station (UHF station) .

Directed by Yukio Takahashi of '18if', 'Last Exile-Fam of Silver Wings-Over The Wishes', and 'Let's use dogs and scissors'. The series consists of 'SHOW BY ROCK !!' series, 'THE IDOLM @ STER' and 'Lucky Star' by Touko Machida.
