'Academic Torrents' sharing 27 TB or more research data sets with BitTorrent

" Academic Torrents " was created to promote data set sharing between researchers and to construct a mechanism to operate open access papers at low cost. As of August 2018, the available data is 27.23 TB. It is also possible to upload a dataset that you think is important to the community.

Then, the data set and the number of files being published, the date added, the file size, the number of downloads, etc. are displayed.

Academic Torrents does not hold files on a single server, although published datasets include those published publicly, such as university official sites and laboratory sites. So it features fast downloading. In particular, it is also unusual for a data set to have a file size of several gigabytes, which is useful when you can not secure a hosting location.
