The game looks something like this. There is a big main board in the middle and four players, blue, orange, yellow and purple, discover and nurture artists as gallery owners, earn reputation and earn money.
It is the gallery board of each player that puts around the main board.
With such a feeling, we will exhibit works and place tickets for the gallery.
What kind of game is it with The Gallerist? It can be confirmed from the following movie.
The Gallerist - Rules Overview - YouTube
The Gallerist is a game where four players manage galleries and gather money and reputation. Players will discover artists, sell their artworks and market them to media and influential people, leading to more and more valuable works that are of little value. The player who had the most money and value work at the end of the game won the championship.
There are four "locations" on the game board, and as soon as the player gets his or her turn, the gallery will be held in one place somewhere.
There are two actions that you can perform in the gallery: "find an artist" and "purchase a work".
There are four categories of artists 'photos' 'painting' 'sculpture' 'digital art' There are two artists in each field divided into red and blue.
Turning over the red card ......
A total of 18 squares appeared in all. At the start stage we will place coma on the first square, but as the game progresses, the mass advances as the artist's value and the price of the work go up.
Next to the artist card there is a signature card.
If you place this in the place called "Commission Space" on your gallery board, you can purchase artist's work at the price you put the card after the game's second half. In short, the Aoi bargain image for promising writers.
If you choose the action "Buy a work" in the gallery, you can literally buy artist's work.
At this time, the price of the work depends on how far the comet is in the squares of the artist card ... ...
For example, if you put a signature card in a commission space at a square of 5, you can buy a work at a price of 5 even if you buy a work when you are in the 10 squares. This area is the first advantage to be discovered as soon as you discover an artist.
Every time an artist 's work is purchased, the artist' s reputation will increase greatly. This is the same as the actual arts area, and when the collection of a work with someone with a big influence begins, the flow that the value begins to start with that purchasing behavior. Because it is worth buying it is not buying, but by buying it creates value. Written in the lower left corner of the work card is the value of the work, the star shows "reputation", the person shows "influence", and when selling the work shown in the image, the artist's reputation rises by two, influence You can get two forces. This influence is used when promoting artists, etc.
Purchased works are placed in the gallery so that they can see more people's eyes and further increase their value. This is also the same as the real art industry.
Then place the signature token of the artist who bought the work next to the place showing the current value of the work.
There is a "sales office" in The Gallerist, it is possible to obtain a contract card and sell a work.
This "contract card" is important when selling the work, there are four kinds of "digital art" "painting" "sculpture" "photograph", the player has among the exhibited works Only works that match contract cards can be sold.
In other words, if you are going to sell photos, you have to have a photo contract card.
In addition, the price depends on the position of the signature token at the time of sale.
A customer who was in the gallery buys a work ... ...
I will return to my house.
Furthermore, the important thing in the game is "Media Center" which raises the reputation of artists. This is my light assistant, light blue humanoids.
At the Media Center it is possible to sell artists. If you get the "Good Like" tag by using "Influence" at the Media Center and the promotion level goes up, the artist's reputation will rise and the price of the work will rise.
In addition, there is a "international market" which is divided into upper and lower two parts, and the owner of the gallery can send an assistant.
In the upper part, you can send an assistant and use "influence", you can get "evaluation tile" to receive bonus.
In the lower part it is possible to pay money and participate in the auction. Since the event corresponding to the place where the assistant was placed occurs at the end of the game at the auction, it will take up how much money you can get at the last minute.
In addition, players distribute their gallery tickets to customers, attracting customers, raising artists' reputation and making money.
There are 3 kinds of customers in the gallery in all. "Investor" which Brown gives money to players, "VIP" Pink raises the artist's reputation, "White Collector" which can give players little money and reputation little by little.
Furthermore, if you use "influence", the owner of the gallery puts a pawn in another gallery and can do "kick out" to kick out the original owner. The owner kicked out is restricted in action.
At the end of the game, popular works put on the auction will be bought off, but this has come to be able to choose favorite works from people who paid the most amount.
For example in the image below the light blue assistant pays 12 points, so you can choose the work you like the most at the very beginning.
In addition, there are curators cards and art dealer cards, and if you can collect works of combinations on cards, you can also get reward for that.
The game board itself is a slightly larger size of 800 mm × 500 mm. It has become 394 mm × 318 mm × 78 mm in a sturdy box, and the total weight in the box is 3.6 kg.
In addition to cards and frames, it also has an easel to display works at auction.
Each artist and work is also finely set. For example, Rafaël Theunis from Belgium is a digital artist presenting a series of photographs based on blue.
American photographer Tim Barnes took an HDR photo of the bridge in Southford-Falls State Park.
Francis G Alexandero W, a painter who lives in Hong Kong, wrote on painting canvas that "People are always present in both darkness and light, and they are inhibiting themselves writing beautiful poems themselves."
Australian sculptor Ian O'Toole said "Negative spaceI am creating a mysterious object in which an explanation "filling in" is written.
