First released Nikon DX format "COOLPIX A" released in late March

Announced the release of the first compact digital camera "COOLPIX" series machine "COOLPIX A" equipped with a DX format CMOS sensor that Nikon is using as a sensor for digital single lens reflex cameras. The Nikon DX format CMOS sensor with 1616 million effective pixels and the high performance image processing engine EXPEED 2 are installed. The sensor is an optical low pass filterless specification.


The size is about 111.0 mm × 64.3 mm × 40.3 mm, weighs about 299 g with battery and SD memory card.


A wide viewing angle 3 type TFT liquid crystal monitor of about 920,000 dots is mounted on the back.
