Another Chinese rip-off? Online Game "Saint Warrior" bears striking resemblance to a Japanese Anime

Just one look at the newly launched Chinese online game "圣斗士 (Saint Warrior)" strongly reminded us of a popular Japanese anime that was first aired in late '80s and gained fans among many generations through countless reruns.

It seems to be a 3D Fighting game themed on the western zodiac, featuring knights in golden armours representing each signs like Gemini, Libra and Sagittarius. Heard that all before?

This is the top page of the online game. You can see Chinese characters "燃焼(Which could be read Nensho in Japanese, meaning 'Burning')", "斗士 (the same as 闘士 pronounced Toshi; Warrior)", and "宇宙 (Uchu; Space).

Looks like the game is themed on zodiac.

The players choose from twelve golden armours representing each signs to wear. From left to right: Capricorn , Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini.

And Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius.
