2008 Autumn/Winter model cellular phone of KDDI

Japanese cell-phone company "KDDI" announced the new model terminals of the "au" brand, coming out this autumn.

Included in the line-up are variety of high-end models such as Sharp's high-spec "AQUOS phone" with large display, Hitachi's "WOOO" phone focused on 1seg reception, some models with high resolution organic EL display, 8M pixels camera, and so on.

Service inprovements accompanies the release of new terminals. Maximum size of attachment will be expanded to 2MB following the inproved resolution in camera phones, and the flat-rate Internet plan will extend to when the terminal's connected to a computer. A beta-version of a new "High Touch" agent-interface device will be introduced, which allows interactive communication between users and characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Kitaro, Hatsune Miku and Haro.

KDDI au: NEW COLLECTION 2008 AUTUMN WINTER

Beta-service of the "high touch" agent interface will be provided free to terminals with motion sensor, W64SH and W65T, from January 2009.

This service lets you communicate with a character on the standby display of your phone, sending messages on the basis of your usage history, location, season and time, and so on. The characters also reacts to motion sensor.
