About GIGAZINE's summer vacation

It is Bon Festival soon, but how are you doing? GIGAZINE wishes to abandon updates during the Bon festival this year, but most countries around the world do not consider Bon Fest holidays etc, so if there are any interesting incidents, there is no choice but to update them Is, it is difficult.

That being so, I wonder what I was desperately trying to forget that the Yodogawa fireworks festival was held last Saturday, it is the creation of a hot summer sunrise. Below is the reason why we set up such a vacation in GIGAZINE.


As you can see the photos, it is closed from Monday, August 14th to Friday, August 18th. In short, there is practically nine days of continuous holidays from Saturday 12th (Sat) to 20th (Sunday). The reason why it is so long is that it can not be rested for nine days in reality.

People who report directly to the editorial department of GIGAZINE come out to the company for about two days between the 14th and the 18th or do some work from home. Because someone always manages GIGAZINE, makes an update check and carries out maintenance, the facsimile as a company itself has become a long holiday, but in fact it is not really resting .


However, since I am taking a posture to take a holiday outside, I can focus on the inner work. Therefore, during this Bon holiday we plan to concentrate special training on editing staff and so on .... It is training. By the way, in the case of a government office, we will take a half-day shift and take a Bon festival break. I would like to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the same way if possible.
