Microsoftのオンライン会議ツール「Microsoft Teams」がダウン

Microsoftのオンライン会議ツールである「Microsoft Teams」が、一時的にダウンして使用不可となりました。障害発生の原因はMicrosoft 365の認証システムに行ったアップデートにあるようです。

Microsoft Teamsが使用できなくなったのは日本時間で2021年3月16日の5時30分頃ですが、それ以前からMicrosoftは「Microsoft 365へのアクセス」に問題が生じていたことを検知しており、同日の4時40分には「アクセスに関する問題を調査しています」とTwitter上で報告しています。

その後、この問題が世界中のMicrosoft 365ユーザーに影響を与える可能性があること、問題はMicrosoftが最近行ったという認証システムのアップデートが原因であることが特定されています。なお、Microsoftは問題への対処としてアップデートをロールバックすると発表しましたが、「ロールバックには約15分かかる」とも説明していました。

そして、6時57分には障害の影響を受けていたすべての地域で認証システムのロールバックが完了したと発表。これにより、Microsoft 365サービスでのテレメトリーエラー率が低下したことが確認されています。

ただし、9時18分時点でも「緩和策により影響を受けているサービスでの復旧は着実に進んでいます」と述べており、すべてのサービスが復旧したわけではないことを明かしています。

Microsoft 365で起きた障害により、Microsoft TeamやOffice 365、Outlookなど各種サービスが一時的にダウンしました。他にも、Microsoftが提供するエンタープライズ向けのIDサービスであるAzure Active Directoryや、Xboxのプリペイドコードも機能不全に陥ったことが確認されています。なお、Microsoft Teamのサービスが一時的に停止したのは2020年9月以来、約半年ぶりです。

Microsoft 365で発生した障害の影響を受け、ワーナーメディアは映画「ジャスティス・リーグ」のザック・スナイダーカットのバーチャルプレミアム公開を延期しました。
