AI development company Black Forest Labs released its video generation AI, ' FLUX 3 Video, ' to the public on August 4, 2026 (local time). FLUX 3 Video can generate videos with sound up to 20 seconds in length and 1080p (Full HD) resolution.

The following are the results of human evaluations of the quality of various video generation AIs. FLUX 3 Video was rated as the highest-performing model in both 'video generation from text' and 'video generation from images.'
The FLUX 3 Video API uses a per-second billing system, with per-second rates of $0.06 (approximately 9.45 yen) for 720p draft, $0.17 (approximately 26.78 yen) for 720p, and $0.29 (approximately 45.69 yen) for 1080p.
Black Forest Labs has listed the following future plans: 'improving the controllability of FLUX 3 Video,' 'adding image, video, and audio reference capabilities to FLUX 3 Video,' 'developing FLUX 3 Image for image generation and editing,' and 'releasing an open-weight version of FLUX 3 Dev.' They have also announced that 2K and 4K support for FLUX 3 Video and models will be released soon.
