The 'Fold8 Ultra' and 'Fold8' are devices that open horizontally like a notebook. The 'Fold8 Ultra' follows the design of the series, and when folded it can be used as a vertical device similar to other Galaxy series devices, and when unfolded it can be used with twice the screen size.
The Fold8 Ultra achieves even more realistic image rendering with HDR photography in 200-megapixel mode. It also features a large 5000mAh battery and a dual-pass charging structure that supports 45W fast charging, allowing for faster and more stable performance throughout the day.
On the other hand, the 'Fold8' adopts a new design with a shorter vertical dimension, and when folded, the screen size is 10:16, making it the ideal size for everyday use such as chatting, messenger, social media, browsing, and short videos. When unfolded, the screen size is 4:3, which is said to enhance immersion in games and movies.
The Fold8's camera boasts high-definition images with approximately 50-megapixel main wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses. It also features dual recording, simultaneously recording with both the front and rear cameras, allowing you to capture reactions and experiences more naturally. A new 'MyFanCam' function automatically tracks a selected subject within the video, readjusts it to your preferred aspect ratio, and creates videos optimized for social media posts.
The 'Flip8' is a device that opens vertically, like a classic flip phone or a hand mirror, achieving the thinnest and lightest design in the series. The cover screen has been revamped with an AI-native everyday interface, designed to provide AI support immediately when needed. The 'Now Brief' displayed on the cover screen not only displays and suggests necessary information, but also smoothly guides you to the necessary actions.
The camera's super image stabilization now includes a horizontal lock function, which helps maintain a smooth and stable composition even when taking selfies on the move or shooting activities using the cover camera.
All three models utilize 'Flex Titanium,' a new technology combining titanium alloy film and titanium plates, achieving even thinner designs without compromising durability. By optimizing the hinge mechanism, display tension, and magnetic force balance, opening and closing operations are smoother and lighter, and creases become less noticeable even after prolonged use.
