Samsung Health app forces users to choose between using their health data for AI training or deleting it.
It has been discovered that Samsung's health management app, 'Samsung Health,' has added an item called 'Consent to the use of health data for AI training and modeling.' Apparently, a warning will be displayed stating that if you do not consent, you may lose your health data permanently.

According to information confirmed by the technology media outlet How-To Geek, the Samsung Health app displays an option that asks for consent to the use of health data for AI training and modeling.
Samsung's help page indicates that they build AI models using user activity levels, health records, medications, menstrual cycles, and other health data, and that these models may be reviewed by humans in some cases.

If you try to turn off this setting, you will see a warning message that says, 'Syncing health data with your Samsung account will no longer be available, and your health data will be deleted unless required by law.'
The Japanese version of the app did not have a similar display. How-To Geek has contacted Samsung for details, including when this feature was introduced and which features would be lost if consent is revoked.
Samsung Health already incorporates AI, offering features such as practical advice based on sleep patterns and daily activity levels.
