According to Apple, EU regulators have requested, based on the DMA, that Apple 'grant third-party AI systems other than Siri AI access to user data and control apps,' 'provide virtually unlimited access to users' devices for all AI systems,' and 'enable all AI systems to act autonomously based on that access without continuous user oversight or control.'

Apple designed a 'Trusted System Agent' system to allow AI assistants other than Siri AI to safely access various functions, as a mechanism to mitigate user risks while complying with regulations.
