The producers of both works have released the following comments:

Takeshi Yoshida, producer of 'Detective Conan' (Yomiuri TV):
'Next year's Pretty Cure will be detectives.'
It's been a year since I met Producer Tada—and thinking back to that day still warms my heart.
This collaboration brings together two works from different television stations, production companies, and original publishers. While it seemed like an unprecedented and seemingly impossible hurdle, our conviction that 'this will be interesting' took precedence.
...I'll leave the subsequent hard adjustments to your imagination (lol).
By the way, I've included a message for the Pretty Cure after the Next Conan's Hint, so don't miss it until the very end.
I'll show you a miraculous collaboration!

Kanako Tada (ABC Animation), producer of 'Detective Precure!':
'Please let us collaborate with 'Detective Conan' next year!'
It was a year ago that I went to see Producer Yoshida—and I'm truly happy that it has come to fruition in this way.
I knew there would be various hurdles.
Even if it doesn't come true, let's give it a try and fail!
But after meeting the staff of 'Detective Conan,' I realized that 'the most important thing is to entertain the viewers.'
With those feelings in mind, we were able to achieve this unprecedented collaboration.
I've been watching 'Detective Conan' live on terrestrial television since I was in elementary school, and seeing it continue to be loved for 30 years is incredibly moving and makes me feel very grateful.
This collaboration is full of surprises and fun.
A shock at first, but hilarious inside: a collaboration with a famous detective!
