I tried out 'Apple Sports,' which is now available in Japan. It's an official Apple app that lets you check the latest information on Major League Baseball and the World Cup on your iPhone.

Apple has made its official iPhone app, ' Apple Sports ,' available in Japan. Apple Sports is a free app that allows users to access sports-related information, including Major League Baseball and the Soccer World Cup. You can register your favorite sports teams to check the latest information in real time and review past match results. It seemed convenient, so I tried it out.
Apple Sports is now available in over 90 new countries and regions - Apple (Japan)
To install Apple Sports, tap the following link to open the App Store distribution page.

Apple Sports is an app that allows you to register your favorite sports teams and view their information. Initially, no teams are registered, so you'll need to register a team first. Tap 'Continue.'

Tap 'Continue'.

A list of sports leagues such as the FIFA World Cup 2026, Formula 1, NBA, NFL, and MLB will be displayed. This time, we want to view information related to Major League Baseball, such as the Dodgers, so tap 'MLB'.

Once the team list is displayed, tap the team whose information you want to follow, then tap the check button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Make sure your team is registered in the 'My Team' section, then tap the check button in the upper right corner.

Now, match results are displayed in real time on the Apple Sports home screen.

Tapping on each game will allow you to see the score, hits, and other details for each inning.

The results for each player are also summarized in detail. Shohei Ohtani had just hit a home run on the first pitch as the leadoff batter, playing as both pitcher and designated hitter.

Apple Sports can also be placed as a widget on the home screen.

Apple Sports also provided league tables and tournament schedules for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
