'OpenRoom' allows you to manage AI agents with a GUI featuring cute girl characters.
MiniMax, an AI company based in Shanghai, China, has announced ' OpenRoom ,' a GUI for managing AI agents. While many existing AI agents are managed using text-based UIs, OpenRoom is characterized by its ability to be managed using a sophisticated GUI that runs in a browser.

OpenRoom is an interactive AI management tool announced alongside the AI model ' MiniMax M2.7 '. MiniMax states that 'with OpenClaw and similar AI agents, we found that users want not only to get tasks done but also to interact with them like friends,' and that they developed OpenRoom to free AI interaction from text-based UIs.
At the time of writing, OpenRoom was released as a preliminary demo, allowing users to experience some of its features, so I decided to try it out. First, I accessed OpenRoom and clicked 'Login' in the upper right corner of the screen. Note that depending on your browser, audio may start playing the moment you access the site.
Log in with your Google account.
Select the account you want to log in with.
Click 'Next'.
You can now use OpenRoom. The character displayed in the center of the screen is named 'Aoi'.
A chat input field is provided at the bottom of the screen, so try typing 'Can you use Japanese?' and sending it.
They said they could speak Japanese, but their speech was heavily mixed with English, suggesting they weren't very good at Japanese at the time of writing.
You can switch characters by clicking on the avatar name displayed in the upper left corner of the screen.
There are three characters to choose from. First, there's 'Aoi,' who is displayed by default.
'Rea'
'Jill'
Furthermore, there's an 'Add my Agent' button that allows you to register your own AI agent.
It appears to be a system where you can register your own custom-built AI agent and perform tasks while conversing with your preferred AI.
On the left side of the OpenRoom screen, various app icons are displayed, and you can launch them by double-clicking. 'Diary' is a diary app, and I was actually able to input Japanese text.
When I launched 'Email,' a screen resembling an email app appeared, but the inbox was filled with dummy emails and it didn't actually function.
As of the time of writing, OpenRoom is in an early demo version. OpenRoom is being developed as open source, and you can view the code at the following link. It should be noted that the majority of the code was generated using AI.
