I tried Black Thunder's new flavor 'Koi Matcha Thunder,' which lets you fully enjoy the rich flavor and astringency of Uji matcha.

From the Black Thunder series, a popular chocolate confectionery from Yuraku Confectionery, ' Dark Matcha Thunder ' will be released on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The packaging for 'Koi Matcha Thunder' is based on the deep green color typical of matcha and a luxurious gold color.

Ingredients include vegetable oil, sugar, skim milk powder, whole milk powder, matcha, wheat flour, cocoa powder, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, etc.

The calories are 109kcal per bottle.

This is what it looks like on a plate. The top half is matcha chocolate made with two types of Uji matcha, and the bottom half is coated in chocolate.

The 'Dark Matcha Sander' (left) was lined up with the regular Black Sander (right). You can see that the regular Black Sander is slightly larger and that the Dark Matcha Sander has a rougher surface.
