Uber's quarterly revenues were $8.24 billion (approximately ¥1.29 trillion), up 19% from the same period last year, $4.892 billion (approximately ¥753 billion), up 30% from the same period last year, and $1.27 billion (approximately ¥200 billion), almost unchanged from the same period last year, from its ride-hailing business.
The number of users across the platform surpassed the 200 million mark, reaching 202 million, up 18% from 171 million in the same period last year. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said growth was particularly strong in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In 2025, the company launched a robotaxi business using self-driving vehicles in Atlanta, Georgia, and Austin, Texas, reporting a significant increase in mileage, including chauffeured rides.
Uber plans to expand its robotaxi business to up to 15 cities in the US and other countries by the end of 2026, and Khosrowshahi said, 'We aim to be the world's largest provider of autonomous travel by 2029.'
Cities where the service will be available include Houston, Texas; San Francisco and Los Angeles, California; London, England; Munich, Germany; Hong Kong, China; Zurich, Switzerland; and Madrid, Spain.

However, Khosrowshahi acknowledged that 'given the technical, regulatory and other barriers to adopting autonomous driving technology, robotaxis are likely to remain a small part of ride-sharing services for the next few years.'
