In a blog post titled 'Keeping Bandcamp Human,' Bandcamp announced its guidelines for generative AI, which include the following two points:

- Bandcamp does not allow music or audio that is generated entirely or substantially by AI.
Using AI tools to imitate other artists or styles is strictly prohibited, as copycat practices and intellectual property infringement are prohibited under existing policies.

Bandcamp says it clarified its guidelines to ensure musicians can continue to create music and that fans can be confident that the music they find on Bandcamp is made by humans.

Bandcamp reserves the right to remove AI-generated music and audio, so if you find music or audio on Bandcamp that you believe was created with generative AI, please use the reporting tool to flag it so that Bandcamp can review it. The message concludes, 'We will keep you updated on any policy updates as developments in the rapidly evolving field of generative AI grow.'
