Introducing Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work - YouTube

Cowork is a PC operation AI developed based on Claude Code. Users can grant Cowork access to any folder, and Cowork will perform operations such as viewing, editing, creating, and moving files according to instructions.

In the video below, you can see how to use Cowork to organize your Mac desktop.

Organize your desktop files with Cowork - YouTube

A desktop with various files and folders cluttered.

Type 'Help me organize my desktop' into Cowork.

Cowork analyzed my desktop and determined that I had about 70 project folders, 20 screenshots, 35 photos, 18 videos, and 25 documents. It then offered me the options of 'organizing fully automatically' or 'organizing while checking the plan.'

If you select 'Fully automatic organization,' your desktop will be tidied up at an incredible pace.

In the end, it was organized into five folders.

Cowork is currently in research preview mode and is available only to Claude Max subscribers. It is also available for macOS only.

Additionally, because Cowork's default settings allow files to be deleted, users are required to enter accurate prompts that Cowork cannot misunderstand. Additionally, as with general AI agents, there is a risk of prompt injection attacks , so users are advised not to allow access to confidential information. Important points for using Cowork safely are summarized in the link below.
