In PURRTRAN, a kitten named Hexadecimal Purrington, also known as 'Hex,' lives in the terminal and helps with coding. When coding in PURRTRAN, this Hex helps.

Hex is said to be a successor to Tamagotchi and Catz , and its developers explain that 'we utilize the latest CatGPT technology to provide the most advanced artificial cat (AC) available,' and 'Hex's technology is powered directly by Pennsylvania's most famous nuclear power plant, making it the world's first nuclear cat.' Purtran is not generated using AI.
Hex is an AC coding assistant designed to boost your programming skills by 10x. Hex learns your coding style, predicts your needs, and automatically generates code even when you're not looking.
Hex has three basic needs:
Food: If you don't feed your Hex, it will die.
Cleanliness: Just like a real cat, Hex leaves you 'presents' that you need to clean up or Hex will get unhappy with you.
Love: Hex loves you more than you know. Show him some affection and play with him to show him love. If Hex gets bored, he'll interrupt your work by leaving a note in your terminal to let you know.
Each need is rated on a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 being fully satisfied and 0 being completely unsatisfied. If any need falls below 20, Hex will become grumpy and refuse to help with programming tasks. If any need reaches 0, Hex will die. To optimize your programming experience, you need to constantly keep an eye on Hex's needs.
PURRTRAN can take care of Hex by using commands like ':feed', ':play', ':discipline', and ':clean' in the REPL . ':feed' feeds Hex, ':play' shows affection by playing with Hex, ':discipline' scolds Hex, and ':clean' cleans the litter box.
Hex can point out mistakes in your code or praise good code. For example, when praising your code, it will show a happy face like the one shown below. However, this advice will only be given if Hex's affection exceeds a certain value.

Developer Corey Montella wrote, 'PURRTRAN is dedicated to my cats, Twila and Giselle.'
