Entertainment trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter reported that GTA 6 has outplayed the trailers for the blockbuster films ' Deadpool & Wolverine ' (365 million views) and ' Fantastic 4: The First Step ' (200 million views).
Additionally, music streaming platform Spotify announced that streams of the Pointer Sisters ' song 'Hot Together,' which was featured in the second trailer, increased by 182,000%.
The first trailer for GTA 6, released in 2023, garnered a modest 93 million views in 24 hours, compared to the second trailer. However, the first trailer was a YouTube exclusive and was the most viewed non-music video on YouTube.
GTA6 is the latest installment in the GTA series, released for the first time in over 10 years since the previous game, Grand Theft Auto V, and market expectations are very high, with game developers fearful of the impact that competing with GTA6 will have on sales.

In the second trailer, the protagonist's personality, life, in-game environment, nature, etc. were gradually revealed, allowing players to predict what actions they could take through the game. All of the footage in the second trailer was shot on the PlayStation 5 (not the PlayStation 5 Pro), and it is said to contain half gameplay and half cut scenes.

The release date of this game has been postponed from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. At the end of the video, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are mentioned, so it is certain that it will be released on both platforms, but there is no mention of a PC version. Rockstar Games, the developer, also had a release plan for the previous game, GTA5, which was 'first for home consoles, then for PC,' so this game is expected to follow this plan.
