'Life is about combination and transformation!' Shoji Kawamori's 'Variable Myakumyaku' can be transformed into the 'Flying Myakumyaku' by switching between normal mode and flying car mode.

In one corner of the booth of anime production company Satelight , Kawamori's most recent projects were summarized. Among them was the next-generation mobility product development project ' AVIOT Ridepiece Project ,' and the words 'SHOJI KAWAMORI Flying Myakumyaku Collection - To be sold at the EXPO 2025 venue!' were written.

Design drawings of the 'Variable Myakumyaku Flying Car Mode (for the non-transforming version)' and 'Variable Myakumyaku Normal Mode' were published.

I thought the design was just conceived as a concept, but it turned out to be a three-dimensional object on display.

And the prototype 'Variable Myakumyaku Normal Mode' was created based on the LEGO prototype with the cooperation of Yasuyuki Kobayashi. Although it is clear that the legs and hands are shaped to be transformed, the head and body look just like the Myakumyaku we often see.
'Variable Myakumyaku Flying Car Mode.' The red ring on the head splits into left and right, and propellers emerge from inside the body. However, these are not planned to be commercialized.

However, the non-transforming version will be available for sale from time to time at the EXPO 2025 venue as the 'SHOJI KAWAMORI Flying Myakumyaku Collection.'

At the Osaka, Kansai Expo, Kawamori will team up with music producer Yoko Kanno to create an immersive exhibit called '499 Seconds: My Fusion,' a trans-space theater experience.
