I went to the first floor of Aeon as instructed in the email I received when I purchased it, and found a corner called 'Pre-ordered New Year's food pick-up corner.' I showed them a screenshot of my name and order number when I purchased it, but they couldn't find my name or order number, so I was in an emergency. I was like, '?!', but the person in charge looked at the screenshot again and said, 'Ah! Is this for an order from Aeon Net Supermarket? If so, it's over there!', so it wasn't here.

・Naruto Kintoki Sweet Potato Kinton
'This is a colorful kinton from Naruto-ji Temple in Tokushima Prefecture. The golden color is likened to treasure,' and it is insanely sweet. Or rather, since I usually try sweet things later in the tasting process, it definitely feels more overly sweet than the other ones.
・Candied chestnuts
'The peeled chestnuts have been given a refined flavor with just the right amount of sweetness,' and they have a sweetness similar to that of a candy.

'It's a Datemaki that you can enjoy its moist texture and mellow sweetness,' he said. It was indeed quite sweet.
・Red Kamaboko ・White Kamaboko
'This is a kamaboko that makes the most of the flavor of the fish. The red and white colors are a good sign for a good year,' he said. A normal, plump kamaboko.
・Simmered dishes (boiled bamboo shoots, boiled shiitake mushrooms, boiled butterbur)

'It's cooked moistly in a copper pot with good thermal conductivity,' so it's fluffy. It's completely different from the freeze-dried tofu we usually eat, and it feels high quality.

'The octopus legs were boiled in soy sauce, mirin, sugar, etc. until soft,' he said. However, the octopus was boiled for too long, resulting in a weak octopus flavor.

'After seasoning the shrimp with heads, we grill them in a steam griller with the shells still on.' You can eat them right down to the shells. The shrimp's flavor is quite strong, so this is very satisfying. At home, we just warmed this up and put it in our zoni.

'The herring roe is seasoned to give it a nice flavor. It's a lucky charm for the prosperity of descendants,' he said. The whole family unanimously agreed that it would be better if it was a little saltier, and the herring roe was extremely mild. Elegant.

'The anchovies are seasoned with sweet and spicy sauce. The dried sardines are used as fertilizer for the fields, so it is called 'Tadukuri' and is a prayer for a good harvest.' The outside is sweet and the fish innards have a slightly bitter taste, which goes just right. It looks cute.

'It's a candied simmered peach that you can eat even the seeds.' As soon as you bite into it, even the seeds melt, making you go, 'What is this?!' This is interesting.
・Spanish Spanish mackerel with saikyo-yaki sauce
The chef explained that 'the Spanish mackerel is grilled until fragrant with a sweet miso sauce,' but everyone said, 'I wouldn't have been able to taste the Saikyo miso unless I was told,' and 'I thought it was just grilled fish,' which left us with some questions.

'In keeping with the word 'yorokobu' (kelp), we wrap and cook herring in kelp, which is considered to be auspicious.' I've always hated the mushy texture of kelp rolls, but this is the best I've ever eaten! It's salty, and the flavor of the fish is almost an added bonus; the kelp is delicious!
・Tuna and Shizuoka Prefecture wasabi stalks simmered in soy sauce
'Wasabi stems from Shizuoka Prefecture and tuna caught in the Pacific Ocean are cooked in soy sauce. The spicy flavor is complemented by the umami of the tuna, which really whets the appetite.' It's like a higher-grade version of the same canned tuna flakes, and although I was worried it would be too spicy because it's made with wasabi stems, I was relieved to find that it was only slightly spicy.

'The delicious, tingling sensation of Japanese peppercorns adds an accent to the dish,' and they are delicious when combined with the tuna from earlier.

・Garlic shrimp
'Soft shrimp with heads that have been molted so that you can eat the shells are finished with garlic,' he said. This dish has a strong garlic aroma and is packed with shrimp meat, making it very satisfying. It's very filling.
・Trout salmon smoked rose
'The smoked trout salmon is finished to look like a gorgeous rose flower.' The smoked salmon is thick, not thin. Highly rated.

'These cute olives are stuffed with red pepper paste after the seeds are removed,' he said. They have a nice salty taste and add a nice accent to the dish.

The dish was described as 'cold mussels topped with a sauce made from mayonnaise-like dressing and milk,' but there was a lot of sauce and the mussels were too small, resulting in a lukewarm review that said 'it was like cream stew that had solidified overnight.'

・Peach mochi
'The mochi filled with light bean paste is shaped like a cute peach,' he said. The mochi is hard.
・Fish eggs zunda mayonnaise flavor
'Dice-shaped fish eggs with added edamame soybeans are tossed in a mayonnaise-like dressing.' It looks a bit strange, but it's surprisingly delicious. It has a slight wasabi flavor. This dish was highly praised by the whole family.
・Naruto Kintoki boiled with lemon
'These are Naruto Kintoki sweet potatoes from Tokushima Prefecture, with a refreshing lemon flavor.' One of the two was a miss, and was gritty, perhaps because it wasn't cooked through. The other was fluffy and a hit. Both were a hit.

'Shark fin is stewed in a chicken-based soup with oyster sauce, shiitake mushroom extract, etc. Please enjoy by mixing the soup with your meal,' and the soup is delicious. This is where all the flavor is. The shark fin is just for texture.

・Rape blossoms
'We marinated the rape blossoms in a sauce made from soy sauce and seafood extracts,' he said. The flavor was surprisingly strong.
・Abalone oyster sauce
'The abalone has a nice texture and is simmered with the flavor of oyster sauce,' but the flavor of the abalone is overpowered.
・Ikura marinated in soy sauce
'It's a soy sauce-pickled dish that makes the most of the umami of salmon roe. The glossy, shining salmon roe is a symbol of prosperity for future generations,' they say, but the flavor is a little off.

'It is a dish of deep-fried shrimp tossed in a sweet mayonnaise sauce made with milk and condensed milk.' The shrimp density is much higher than regular shrimp mayonnaise. It's very satisfying. It's a bit dry. Garlic shrimp is better.

'The shells of the red snow crab claws are cut into rings to make them easier to eat, and then seasoned with sweet vinegar.'
Let's take a quick look at the first, second and third layers. My overall impression is that the first layer is pretty normal, the second layer is a bit chaotic with a lot of ups and downs, and the third layer feels like something you'd get at an unusual restaurant. This is quite an unusual dish compared to the various osechi dishes I've had so far. It's perfect for those who want something different from the usual osechi, but still want to maintain the osechi feel.
