In order to stop the collapse of the world, he needs to defeat the demon king as a hero and complete the project as a corporate slave, and he needs a death march like never before. ◆ Synopsis of the first half of Episode 8 of 'The Part-Time Life of a Hero and a Corporate Slave'
Despite the hardships of being attacked by natural enemies, monsters infiltrating Japanese companies, and despicable attempts to betray the hero, the hero and corporate slave Kuzuru lived a peaceful life. However, one day, unbelievable events began to occur in both worlds, such as monsters appearing in Japan and a Japanese disease appearing in the other world.
The confused Kuzuru's mysterious superior tells him about a phenomenon called 'Conflict,' which is that Kuzuru's constant travel between the two worlds has upset the balance of the world.
To resolve the conflict, Kuzuru must complete all of his current projects and leave the world. In modern Japan, that means completing the game that is currently in a death march. In the other world, that means defeating the Demon King.
Both game production and hero work are hard, and Kuzuru doesn't really want to do them. And it's not his fault that he has to work a second job, which is what caused the conflict.
Kuzuru was worried, but when he realized he was surrounded by many people, he finally made up his mind.
After that, his side job just accelerates. He refines the idea for the game until it is complete, marches to the Demon King's castle to gather materials, and returns with the information, receiving cold weather gear in return, before returning to the other world.
And finally, they arrive at the Demon King's Castle. As Kuzuru faces his final battle, despair strikes...? You can read the second half of Episode 8 below!

In the second half of episode 8, after the truth is revealed, Kuzuru decides to fight and invades the Demon King, only to be defeated. The story is packed with content, but it is designed to make the emotions easy to understand. For example, in the following panel, when he is unsure what to do, he is surrounded by his friends and decides to do it, saying, 'What will you do?'
In the revised name, the flow remains the same, but after being asked 'What will you do?', a cut is inserted in which Kuzuru thinks about his company colleagues and the hero's companions. It's a small cut, but by having a pause before Kuzuru makes his decision, it gives more meaning to his determination to 'do it.'
The page below is the final scene, where the monsters that were supposed to have been defeated are revived. The image on the left was the final page in the original storyboard. It's the same scene, where the protagonist is heartbroken as he faces the monsters that are revived endlessly, but I wanted to make the conclusion of episode 8 a little more exciting, so I adjusted it as shown in the image on the right and added a final page with plenty of drawing. Episode 8 was a bit crammed, but by drawing the ending slowly, I was able to make the conclusion more memorable.
The first page added was the following. The addition of a scene of 'battle and defeat' makes Kuzuru feel even more despair.
Furthermore, in the final draft, the original scene felt like a loose ending for the final page, so the idea of including a game-like production to close the story once and for all was adopted.
