I came to Mos Burger.
I found a banner in front of the store announcing the 'New Extraordinary Avocado.'
The 'Whole Cow Kuroge Wagyu Beef Burger - Served with Mountain Wasabi and Soy Sauce' was also on display.
I immediately bought the 'New Tobikiri Avocado' (790 yen including tax) and the 'Whole Black Wagyu Beef Burger - Mountain Wasabi Soy Sauce' (890 yen including tax).
'New Tobikiri Avocado' is packaged in wrapping paper.
I took the bun out and found diced avocado spilling out from under the bun, and lettuce sticking out vigorously.
A comparison of the size with a transportation IC card. From above, you can see that the patty, which is a size larger than the bun, is sticking out from the bun.
I flipped the bun over and found diced avocado covered in a mayonnaise-based sauce.
Under the patty were tomatoes and lettuce.
To see the cross section, we cut it with a knife. When we ate it, we could smell the Cajun spices and cumin used in the avocado sauce, and it had a spicy flavor. The patty, made with 100% domestic beef, had a strong flavor, and the crunchy texture of the lettuce was a nice accent. The avocado itself had almost no grassy smell, but the editorial staff who tasted it commented that 'because the avocado doesn't have any particular flavor, it may not taste as avocado-like.'
Next, I will try the 'Whole Cow Buying Kuroge Wagyu Burger - Mountain Wasabi Soy Sauce'. The package is a paper box. The 'Whole Cow Buying Kuroge Wagyu Burger' is a menu that appeared in
This is what it looks like when you open it.
Inside was a card and a message titled 'Whole Cow Kuroge Wagyu Beef Burger - with Mountain Wasabi and Soy Sauce' wrapped in paper.
This is the 'Whole Cow Black Wagyu Beef Burger - Mountain Wasabi Soy Sauce Style'. The bun is deep in color and has a glossier finish than the 'New Tobikiri Avocado'.
I compared the size with a transportation IC card.
When you flip the bun over, you'll see that the patty is topped with onions and covered in a sauce made with mountain wasabi and soy sauce.
And underneath the patty is tomato and lettuce.
It looks like this when you cut it. The patty is made from 19 parts of the Japanese Black beef, including minor parts, from an entire cow, so I was expecting a rich flavor, but it was lighter than I expected. The wheat flour used in French bread is used to bind the patty, so it has a fluffy texture and not much elasticity. The mountain wasabi soy sauce sauce has a spicy, pungent aroma, but it's not spicy at all. The crunchy texture of the lettuce, the sweetness of the onion, and the umami of the soy sauce all add up to a very Japanese flavor.
The 'New Tobikiri Avocado' and 'Whole Cow Buying Kuroge Wagyu Burger - Mountain Wasabi Soy Sauce' will be available from Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The price of the 'New Tobikiri Avocado' is 790 yen (tax included) and the 'Whole Cow Buying Kuroge Wagyu Burger - Mountain Wasabi Soy Sauce' is 890 yen (tax included).
