I found the summer-only and store-limited 'Jagariko Lemon Flavor' so I checked how sour it was

While browsing the snack section of a supermarket, I discovered a product called ' Jagariko Lemon Flavor '. I checked Calbee's

new product information but there was no information, so I bought it to see what it tasted like.

Jagariko Lemon Flavor looks like this. At the store where I bought it, it was sold for 138 yen including tax. When I contacted Calbee's customer service center for details, I was told that it was 'limited sale at Aeon-affiliated stores' and 'sales period is from late July to the end of August 2024.'

Ingredients include potatoes, dried potatoes, lemon flakes, lemon juice powder, and black pepper powder.

Calories: 259kcal per cup.

I took out all the contents and it looked the same thickness and length as a regular Jagariko.

When I tried it, I couldn't taste the lemon the moment I put it in my mouth, but as I chewed it, the sour components dissolved in my saliva and I could feel the sourness on my tongue. The sourness wasn't that strong, and it added a refreshing touch to the salad-flavored Jagariko. It was interesting that the sourness came out as I chewed it, and I ate it one after another and it was gone in no time.

At the time of writing, 'Jagariko Lemon Flavor' is available at Amazon.co.jp for a set of 12 for 2980 yen (248 yen per piece) including tax. However, it is more expensive than the selling price at Aeon limited stores, so it is better to actually buy it at the store.
