I tried all three types of Burger King's 'Buddy Burger Set' in which two sauces enhance the flavor of charcoal-grilled beef patties

Three types of ' Buddy Burger Sets ' combining two sauces, 'BBQ x Spicy', 'Teriyaki x Raspberry', and 'Aurora x Cheese', have appeared at Burger King since Friday, April 19, 2024. I was really curious about what it tasted like, so I tried to see what kind of hamburger it was actually made into.

Arrived at Burger King.

At the storefront, a banner was hung promoting the 'Buddy Burger Set.'

So I ordered all three and brought them home.

The contents of the paper bag are as follows. From the left, there is the 'A Set' with BBQ sauce and spicy sauce, the 'B Set' with teriyaki sauce and raspberry sauce, and the 'C Set' with aurora sauce and cheese. Each set comes with a Jr. size hamburger, medium size French fries, and a drink.

First, try the 'BBQ x Spicy' set A.

I opened it and checked the composition. A beef patty, tomato, onion rings, lettuce, etc. are sandwiched between toasted buns. The lettuce is also topped with white sauce.

If you cut it in half and look at the cross section, you can see that it has two layers of beef patty.

The moment you put it in your mouth, the sweet and spicy taste of the BBQ sauce spreads, but the spiciness of the spicy sauce soon hits you. It's so hot that it makes you sweat, and you just keep eating the next bite.

Next, I will try the 'Teriyaki x Raspberry' set B.

When you flip the bun over, it looks like this. The composition of the burger is the same as the 'BBQ x Spicy' burger.

Before eating, I thought, 'It probably doesn't go well together,' but when I tried it, the jam-like sweet and sour raspberry sauce brought out the rich flavor of the teriyaki sauce. The raspberry flavor wasn't too strong, so it could be enjoyed without interfering with the flavors of the teriyaki sauce, beef patty, and tomato.

Finally, I will try the 'Aurora x Cheese' C set.

When you open it, you'll see that unlike the other two varieties, it doesn't contain tomatoes, but instead has sliced cheese sandwiched inside.

When you eat it, the rich flavor of the cheese and the sour aurora sauce spreads in your mouth. It has the taste of a traditional hamburger, but it is a simple yet timeless dish that is highly refined.
