Mr. Nguyen, who led this hack, is a person who has been working on PlayStation-related hacks for many years, having executed a kernel exploit for PSP Go at the age of 14 and succeeded in acquiring the root key of PlayStation 5 .

Mr. Nguyen collaborated with Mr. Kaare Svensson and 'xyz' who also works at Google, and announced that they succeeded in hacking the PlayStation Portal remote player after more than a month of hard work. In the announcement, Mr. Nguyen installed the PSP emulator PPSSPP on the PlayStation Portal remote player and took a picture of himself playing a PSP game.

All hacking is done on a software basis, and hardware vulnerabilities are not used.

As for plans for a public release, Nguyen posted on X that there is 'a lot of work left to do and we don't have any plans to release it right away.'
