Chrome releases update to fix ``vulnerability that has already been confirmed to be exploited'', graphics library ``Skia'' is related



Google released a security update for Chrome on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Some of the vulnerabilities fixed include those that have already been confirmed to be exploited.

In addition to regular updates, Chrome also releases security updates from time to time. Most of the fixes included in security updates target ``vulnerabilities that have not been confirmed to be exploited,'' but the Windows version of Chrome released on November 28, 2023 ``119.0.6045.199/.200'' ” and version 119.0.6045.199 of Chrome for macOS and Linux also includes fixes for ``vulnerabilities that have already been confirmed to be exploited.''

According to Google, the vulnerability that has been confirmed to be exploited is related to the 2D graphics library 'Skia'. It was reported by Mr. Bleeping Computer, an overseas media outlet, points out that ``This is the sixth known exploited vulnerability in Chrome to be fixed since the beginning of 2023.''

The security update is now rolling out and will be automatically updated for all users in the coming days or weeks. The steps to manually apply security updates are as follows. First, click the menu button in the top right corner of the Chrome screen, click 'Help', and then click 'About Google Chrome'.



The update will then be checked and updated.



After the update is complete, restart Chrome to complete the update.
