A Twitter spokeswoman told The Wall Street Journal that less than 100 people were dismissed after admitting they had been dismissed, but declined to comment further.
Some of the hiring managers who were dismissed posted about it on LinkedIn, and one said, 'I've been overwhelmed. I'm nervous and anxious, but I'm optimistic about the future. Masu 'is spelled out.
According to another post, a 30-minute meeting was added to the schedule of the employee who was the target of the dismissal on the morning of the day. The severance took place suddenly, but the employee wrote that the severance wasn't overwhelming because the recruitment team had little work since Twitter stopped hiring in May. Some of the employees on the talent acquisition team have already begun looking for another place to work.
Ingrid Johnson, Twitter's senior technical recruiter, said in a post, 'Twitter's dismissal started today. People who have been working for more than 10 years have lost their jobs. It's a really tough day. It would be tragic if Twitter chose to spend a fortune to sue Mr. Musk and keep the liar swelling stock at the expense of those who have spent their lives building the company. I blamed Twitter.
