Insert the SD card. The GR IIIx has about 2GB of built-in memory, and you can record photos without inserting an SD card, but since the file size of one photo is over 10MB, you can take many photos. It is better to prepare a large capacity SD card.
After inserting the battery and SD card, connect the included power adapter to the USB terminal to charge the battery.
Press the power button when charging is complete.
Then, the language setting will be displayed, so select 'Japanese' this time.

The shooting distance range in standard mode is about 0.2m to infinity from the tip of the lens, and the shooting distance range in macro mode is about 0.12m to 0.24m from the tip of the lens.
You can change various shooting settings by pressing the dial on the top of the front.
