A spaceship flying at a tremendous speed ...
Crashed in the forest.
Todd who was present at the scene (act: Tom Holland)
In the woods, Todd encounters a woman named Viola (act: Daisy Ridley).
When Todd turns his hand towards the woman ...
Viola's thoughts flowed into Todd's brain.
On the star where Todd lives, a mysterious phenomenon called 'noise' allows people to hear the voices of others' hearts.
Meet Viola. Looking at Prentice Town, where only men live, in response to Viola's question, 'Where are the women?'
David answers 'everyone is dead'
It seems that the 'noise' that human thoughts flow into does not affect the viola. To Viola who points out that 'it's strange to hear what you're thinking' ...
Todd replies, 'It's weird that you don't understand people's thoughts.'
Eventually, he was told, 'If you want to protect her, leave here now,' and Todd runs away with Viola. Pretis and others relentlessly chase after Todd and Viola.
I'm rowing a boat and trying to go through a torrent ...
I will capsize.
Pretis who points a gun.
And Todd fights in the river ...
Something that is not human
'I'm sure I'll protect you,' Todd murmured, holding Viola's hand.
And a huge spaceship that covers the sky of Prentice Town. What exactly will attack Todd and Viola?
'Chaos Walking' will be released in the United States on January 22, 2021.

How can a boy grow up in a noisy world?
I think it can be said that it is a future dystopian YA novel tailored to science fiction. Moreover, it is the first part of the trilogy.
This is a combined review of the top and bottom volumes.
Human beings went out into space, but noise bacteria were floating in the atmosphere of a certain star (<New World>). Settlers are infected one after another. Anything that has fungi will make 'noise' that will be heard by others. My thoughts, both in words and in the form of images, are in a state of leaking. The thoughts of animals are also mixed there. (So to speak, the state of <Satrale>, people's thoughts can be heard individually, and in places where there are many people, the space is full of delusions).
This is also a story of 'growth' reminiscent of P. Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' about a boy becoming an adult. It has quite similar themes such as 'adult corruption,' 'church oppression (speech and thought control),' and 'is murder and battle a sign of an adult?'
However, the 'noise' here is easier to understand than the 'dust' of Pullman, has a strong image-evoking power, and is persuasive. The noise of Prentice Town, which has become all men, is overwhelming Todd, for example, full of naked women and erotic delusions. Resentment, desire, guilt, morbid anxiety. Todd equates it with the adult world, but he also knows that it is not a reality, but a 'wish / delusion.'
This 'noise' seems to symbolize the present age when many people's voices are overflowing in cyberspace.
How do people come to terms with each other in a world where their thoughts are scattered and perceived by everyone? And are you trying to brainwash and control others? This is a very real issue.
