'Scotch Flex & Seal Packing Roll' Review that completes packing by 'cutting & pasting'

When using a courier service, it is quite difficult to prepare cardboard boxes and cushioning materials to pack according to the package you want to send. 'Scotch Flex & Sheet Packing Roll' has a waterproof film layer, cushion layer, and adhesive layer integrated, so packing work can be done quickly and easily, so I actually tried it.

Scotch ™ Flex & Seal Packing Roll FS-1510

The 'Scotch Flex & Seal Packing Roll' before opening looks like this. The width is 380 mm.

It looks like this when you take it out of the bag. It is 3m long and rolls.

The layer visible on the outside of the roll is a scratch-resistant / waterproof film layer. There is a cushion layer inside, and the innermost gray is the adhesive layer. When you peel off the part where the film layer and the adhesive layer are attached for the first time, you will hear a 'blinking' sound, but the adhesive layer itself is not sticky, and it is rather silky to the touch.

The combined thickness of the three layers is about 3 mm.

When I forcibly separate the three layers, it looks like this. The cushion layer is made up of bubble wrap.

Even if I try to stick the film layer and the adhesive layer together, I can't fix them just by slipping.

When the adhesive layers are put together, they stick together.

I will actually pack it in various ways. First of all, a book that weighs about 500g.

First, unfold the packaging material larger than the luggage. Make sure there is a margin around the luggage as you will need to attach the adhesive layer later. In 'Precautions for use', there is a note that a width of 2.5 cm or more should be secured.

You can secure a margin and cut it first, but this time, in order to wrap it securely, I folded it back and wrapped the book, and then cut it with a margin.

At this point, when I lift it lightly, it looks like this. You can see that they are firmly attached.

Also paste the top and bottom parts of the remaining book. The position can be adjusted by peeling it off until it is firmly attached, but since it is a non-reusable product, it is better to attach the adhesive layer firmly once.

Cut off the excess part and it's done.

I peeled off a part, lifted it up and shook it, but it didn't seem to come off at all.

If you attach a shipping label to the surface, you can ship it as it is. Be careful not to remove the label. In addition, care is taken not to use it for valuables, fragile items, foods, etc.

This time I will open it. If they are firmly attached, it cannot be said that they can be opened by hand from anywhere.

There was a point near the corner that could be opened, so if you put a lot of effort into it, the adhesive layer that was attached to Periperi will peel off. This is a case that came off quite cleanly, and when turned inside out, it also means that the bonding was a little weak.

I was able to open the package even though a part of the adhesive layer that had been strongly bonded was torn off.

Since the adhesive layer is not sticky, there was no problem in wrapping the book as it is. However, this case is a case where it is peeled off quite well ...

In some cases, if the adhesive layers were too strongly attached to each other, the adhesive layer and the cushion layer would come off. When you try to cut it with scissors, you can't see the contents, so you need to devise whether to carefully cut it with 'Put scissors in this position and OK' or peel it off from the edge like this time.

Next, we will pack the tumbler.

I will roll it leaving the adhesive surface.

Adjust the shape of the top and bottom.

Cut off the large excess and complete. As long as the shipping label is attached properly, it seems that anything can be sent.

It's very easy to just wrap it, but when I touched it, I was a little worried that the cushion was only one layer of bubble wrap with 3 mm. In particular, this time it was a thick book, so it seemed to be resistant to damage, but for example, when sending a thin book, sandwich it with a plastic case so that it will not break and will not easily penetrate even if it is pierced by a sharp object. I felt that it was necessary to devise such things.

'Scotch Flex & Seal Packing Roll' is 1808 yen including tax for the 3m type and 2972 yen including tax for the 6m type on Amazon.co.jp.
