'WiFi Card' that allows you to easily create a card that allows you to log in to Wi-Fi simply by scanning the QR code.

At restaurants and cafes that offer free Wi-Fi, the network name and password are written on a dedicated card, and you can connect to Wi-Fi by entering this. 'WiFi Card ' is a service that allows you to easily create a card with such a Wi-Fi SSID and password written on it. If you scan the QR code that is automatically generated when you enter the Wi-Fi network name and password with a camera such as a smartphone, you will be able to easily access Wi-Fi without the hassle of entering a password.

It's very easy to use, and when you access the WiFi Card, there are two text boxes, so you can enter the Wi-Fi network name and password here. This time, I entered 'GIGAZINE_Net' as a fictitious network name and 'HOGEhogeHOGE123456789' as a fictitious password. When you enter the network name and password, the QR code on the screen changes each time one character is added.

Once you have entered the correct information, you can print this screen with a printer. Click the 'Print' button at the bottom of the screen to display the print window, so you can easily print by clicking 'Print'.

So, when I print it, it looks like this.

Let's actually read the QR code created with the WiFi Card. Use the standard iPhone camera that supports QR code for reading. For Android devices, you can read the QR code with

Google Lens. In the case of iPhone, when you copy the QR code with the camera, the following notification will be displayed at the top of the screen, so tap this.

Tap 'Connect'.

After waiting for a while, I succeeded in connecting to Wi-Fi without entering a password at all.

The source code of the WiFi Card is available on GitHub.
